I have left the show for a while but don’t fret i will be backĀ in maybe a month or two … oh well
What i want to talk about today is the amazing game Disgaea 3, the story is very funny and the gameplay is very Final Fantasy Tactics esc, but Better. I would highly recommend it to any PS3 owner and here is the kick .. i could name almost every voice actor. They are so well known and so awesome, yes Even Johnny Young Bosch plays a main character Voice but!! its not Ichigo and its good so i will let it slide.
Mao the Protagonist is played by Vic Mignogna i could tell cause of Ed Elric Impression
Raspberyl is Mao’s rival is played by Laura Bailey i could tell cause she sounds like Kaiko from Yu Yu
Almaz von Almadine Adamant is the “Hero” is played by Johnny Yong Bosch i couldn’t believe it, much rage was held back, he actually does a well enough role.
Geoffery is the butler hand picked by Mao himself to help him into becoming the number one honor student he is played by Dan Woren , he does a lot of minor work in anime.
I don’t want to spoil the plot or things about this game its funny and interesting and if you are anal about games and want to get the full potential about the game, the highest level is 9999, no joke and you can get over a million damage, insane!!
But anyway, if anyone else has any notableĀ Voice Actors from Anime please feel free to share it in the forums, and remember a Demon must Relish Solitude…
This week’s AMV Alert! is special, special because we’re showcasing an AMV straight out of the SHAFT community. This little number was put together by Gensho who is a fan of the show and a frequent poster to the forums. If you yourself have an AMV that you would like us to showcase let us know at animeshaft@gmail.com.

This week we’re joined by Matt, who is very much alive, due to Angelo having prior commitments… or something. Chris talks about a bit about some of the ‘unofficial’ anime hes been watching, Gene finds a new found appreciation for Rurouni Kenshin and Matt fills in for Angelo just fine by watching nothing.
We cover some podcast news such as an extension of the contest, our on going contest, and a possible meet up for the Death Note live action. We also give a big thank you to all those who went ahead and gave us feedback for last episode. We really appreciate it. Plus we answer some back email regarding our views on Gurren Lagann, Code Geass and Haruhi.
We also hit the hard hitting questions, such as “is Hollywood taking anime seriously” on the heels of announcements regarding the Voltron and Astroboy US remakes. Plus our thoughts on if Japan does a better job adapting our pop culture better then we do for theirs on the heals of Madhouse giving Marvel superheros the anime treatment.
We close it out with a look into some big releases and a review of Shinesman. Thanks again to Ryan for sending this little nugget along for us to utterly rip into.
Due to lack of entries for our contest that was announced in SHAFT 79 we are extending the deadline to next Friday (September 5th). All you have to do is email the answer to “What’s the baby is using?” to animeshaft@gmail.com with “The baby is using” in the subject line.
Correct entries with then be chosen at random to determine winner.
