There are a number of things this movie is working toward to appeal to fans and people who’ve never heard of this alike. However, unlike the reviewer in the article I managed to find regarding the Akira live action script I find many things discouraging. So I’ll make it in easy list form.

Keep in mind that this will be a rotating chair so more people have a chance to be on and so that we can have guests on the show from other podcasts or from the anime industry.

So there’s a couple of reasons I went with this. One, this song makes the whole over the top concept of how ‘Kiddy Grade’ sounds as a series… sound worse. Two, its actually a well done and edited AMV. Three, Paul would approve.

This week we’re joined by Lucid and Yomi from Anime Roundtable and Review for some old time talk.

Mainly, we talked about all the different things that bothered us in anime. From over exploitation of moe characters right on into why we have a total lack of the wonderful ‘dirty old man’ character stereotype. Plus a few little bits of news regarding xxxHolic(Kiddy Grade made the cut after we recorded), Sgt. Frog and Code Geass R2.

We shot out some releases, though a bit weak there is something that most will enjoy… I think.

We went on to review, as part of our month of Miyazaki reviews, Castle in the Sky. Its a review we can’t even begin to describe!

This week we talk briefly about SHAFT TV #7 and reviews from our listeners!

From there its all reviews all the time. We took out the time to talk about 8 series that came out in Japan for the fall lineup. Some series were better then others, but listen in on what stood out and what fell over. We also got some emailed in suggestions for the fall schedule too!

After that we talk about the big release week, but after that we keep the reviews rolling with a big time review of Hellsing! All that plus a whole lotta random… check it out won’t you?!
