This week we start the new episodes sans Gene. But we continue on with Chris, Angleo and Thomas (The Girl Neard was sick and couldn’t make it ).

We talked about the New Fullmetal Alchemist series coming out in Japan in 2009 and then we went on to disscuss what anime really is.

Had a little release spot light and then a review of School Rumble 2nd Semester.

Along with our review or School Rumble Season 2 Vol 1 Disk 1 we will be accompanied by the Girl Nerd from The Girl Nerd podcast we will also be discussing what we consider anime to be. If it’s written and directed/produced in America for an American audience yet outsourced/designed/animated else where (Japan, Korea…) is it considered anime?

There is going to be a change to the format of the show during this time. We’ll mostly be covering one topic or news item and we’re looking for listener participation with the show as well. We’ll try to keep the show going weekly but may end up being biweekly.

The gangs all here this week for what turns out to be the two year anniversary and US Thanksgivings week episode. That means Angelo and Matt are live in the hizzy.

We talk about giving the gift of Evangelion for the holidays, Broccoli Publishing packing it up in the US, Dattebayo halting production of fansubbed Naruto… now that Viz is finally doing it themselves, Gundam 00, Live Action Bubblegum Crisis, the new CG Astro Boy trailer, releases ranging from Darker then Black to Happy Lesson and a review of Naussica!

This week Thomas joins us for a downright whacky show where we take an email about some titles we missed last week. We also brought up briefly Dragonball and its horrible looking trailers, 4Kids leaving the Fox morning line up, DiCaprio thankfully not acting in Akira or Ninja Scroll, and Gonzo dropping their output from 8 to 4 series.

We also bring up a mini topic about why Ken Akumatsu series can’t seem to make the same spark in anime that they do in manga. We reviewed Howl’s Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke! And we bash MTV and AX for peeing in the anime pool.
