First up, Hyakunin Kuizu hosted by PatrickD and Jekka! Our only regret is we had no one to operate the camera when our team cleared house, a true panel of anime experts.
After that, FUNimation’s Adam Sheehan gives us a look into how scary our fan base can truly be with The Fans F***ing Scare me!
Keep in mind that this edition of SHAFT TV just like the last one is NSFW as far as language.
In an effort to bring even more fan participation to the podcast, we’ve come up with a little idea. With the help of My Anime List, we’ve compiled a list of anime which is in the current possession of our main panel. What does this mean?
Our listeners will have an easier time picking out a review that they want to see! That’s right, check the list, see what we’ve got and we might be able to review it on the regular show or in a Full Series Review. All the easier for us to make things better here.
Its official, I mentioned it last episode and I think now is the time to announce an official SHAFT meet up for this year… 2009! It will take place at Anime Boston 2009. Anime Boston is in a way a our ‘home con’ since it takes place 45 minutes away so it makes it ideal to do a meet up here more then any place else.
We’ve had a lot of fans who notice our attendance at this particular con and have expressed interest in a meet up of some kind and I think this is the year to make it happen. Details are still being finalized and no times will be available until the Anime Boston schedule is released. However, the meet up will be much like it sounds. Pretty informal for the most part.
As usual we will be filming SHAFT TVs at Anime Boston. However, given the amount of repeat guests this year we may skip voice actor panels due to the fact we already have filmed these before in various SHAFT TV episodes(Not to rule out the fact we may track these fine VAs down for bumpers though; See SHAFT TV 4-6). This will give our fan base a better chance to jump into SHAFT TV! The plan is so far to avoid everything we’ve done thus far(except Anime Unscripted) and do more filming elsewhere including more fan panels, artists alley, registration lines, and around the con in general.
This year we are without a doubt recording an episode of SHAFT from the convention. This is going to happen. We didn’t last year and felt bad, this year is going to be different. We have no idea what we’re talking about in the episode until we get there so its really a surprise for us, however it’ll be all Anime Boston all the time. But expect us to have our normal sections including a review. We also have some new equipment that will enable us to record better then we have at other cons. Again, this is a great chance for our fans to be able to see how the magic happens! Keep an eye on the blog to see what we’re doing with Anime Boston, there’s great news coming down the pipes and we want to make our awesome fan base a part of it!
*Edit*
For those interested in being part of the meet up at Anime Boston 2009 go to www.ab09meetup.animeshaft.com. There’s nothing much there right now but we will be updating that site as we get more info.
So I’ve been catching up on the School Rumble. An anime thats got a lot of school and not a lot of rumble. Perhaps its supposed to be like a rumble pack…. of laughter. Anyway, I found myself an interesting AMV that takes season 1′s sports fest and puts it to Duel of the Fates.
