This week we Hyjact’d Lucid Dream to guest host this week.
We went far off of topic and talked a little bit of American animation talk(throw back to last year) and some Sci-Fi and Star Trek.
But in the anime talk, we covered some email about last week’s topic of good openings and endings as well as an email about our favorite J-Pop artists… plus weird memes and rumors we may have started… that may or may not be true.
We also talked about the lack of print anime publication lately. But there is hope… the INTERNETS!!! We had some interesting thoughts on the subject, listen in.
Plus, a new release spotlight format… its good trust me.. more discussion and more fun. Holy crap! I almost forgot our review of Baccano!
And if we come off a little offensive this week. Thats our April Fools joke. So we hope no one takes us too seriously on those points.
Big thanks to Phantom and Thomas for sending in additional content for the show.
This week Gene and Chris brought in Viga, The Otagal, for some SHAFT.
We talked about a few things going on with the show such as SHAFT TV, our reviews for next month and our Anime Boston Meet up!
From there we talked about our favorite Openings and Endings to anime! What we thought made a good opening or ending and took emails on the topic as well!
From there we talked deeply about this weeks releases and mentioned a change to the format starting next week!
We then took time to review The Girl Who Leapt Through Time! Was this time travel anime movie running at 88 MPH or has the flux capacitor malfunctioned on this one! Find out, cause its SHAFT!
This week, we’re covering our favorite openings and endings. Email us with your favorite openings and endings too or call them in on the Geek Line! We’d like to hear from you.
We’ll also be talking about some big releases, and reviewing The Girl who Leapt Through Time!
First up, Hyakunin Kuizu hosted by PatrickD and Jekka! Our only regret is we had no one to operate the camera when our team cleared house, a true panel of anime experts.
After that, FUNimation’s Adam Sheehan gives us a look into how scary our fan base can truly be with The Fans F***ing Scare me!
Keep in mind that this edition of SHAFT TV just like the last one is NSFW as far as language.
This week Gene and the gang talk about their anime watching habits, the new Full Series Review and a new SHAFT TV.
After they jump right into the news with the sad news of no new Gundam series this year and how Dragonball: Evolution stacked up in the asian market where it was released first.
After, we hit a double review of Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles and Magical Witch Punie-Chan, which one of these anime series truly stacked up? Find out!
