Seriously, Bang Zoom needs to get a freaking grip. I said I was gonna stop on bashing on Bang Zoom and AnimeTV. But coming to the realization that every two weeks in my press release queue I find a press release from them stating that they’re just having an episode of their 15 minute video podcast is getting a bit irksome.

Imagine if every podcaster put a press release out for an episode of a podcast. C-Net would be sending one out every weekday for Buzz Out Loud. Revision3 would be sending out at least one a week for Diggnation and several more for their other video podcasts. Scott Johnson would be not only sending 3 weekly for his three main shows but a daily one for his new Diary of a Cartoonist. Then there’s Leo Laporte who runs over 13 podcasts through the TWiT Network! That would be a lot of press releases and this is just what I religiously listen to for podcasts, not counting my own. Imagine if the literally thousands of podcasters who produce content on a weekly basis sent out press releases just because they’re having an episode of their podcast.
We get it, you have a nice little viral marketing gimmick. Most anime fans who use a computer are aware of your podcast and probably already watch it. You go out of your way to let people know that you make these programs every two weeks. Its irritating and redundant to have a press release for every episode.
